Java has failed on the client
Can Flex come to the rescue?
I do software development for many years now and still I have not found a good way to build a user interface. Having worked with Java for the last 9 years almost entirely I am a little disappointed about what is possible on the client side today.
New Water Sports Photography
I was lucky to see a kite surfer on the beach in Denmark
Kite surf action on the photochrome gallery. Don't miss the slideshow.
FriendFeed: Meta Platform For Individual Communication
An approach to disconnect content from communication
FriendFeed allows me to keep an eye on content of other individuals, e.g. blogs, photos, etc. and lets me comment on it too. I think I like that.
Narrative Photography
I added collections to the photochrome gallery
Collections have slideshows that address a single topic to present in a narrative manner.
Truly Amateur
Some humble views on 'pro' photography
Being an amateur photographer by passion I guess I can relax in terms of being published elsewhere.
A Web 2.0 Thing
I finally started a del.icio.us account
I started a del.icio.us account a few days ago and I am still in the process of adding bookmarks and organising them. It is a great way to have all bookmarks in one place, especially when working with different computers. Another benefit is to find other interesting links to similar topics at others that share their bookmarks on del.icio.us.
del.icio.us is not new but I joined just now. To me it might become another part of the web I use as frequently as Google Reader or Wikipedia.

Urban Interception
A windy day in Hjoerring
The stormy wind kept on blowing on our fourth day so we left the steep coast with its sand flight to Hjoerring.
Back In The Streets
A change of scene now and then sharpens the perception
The own perception seems to be more open for what is going on in the streets when it is not so much used to street scenes.
The Zen Of Grass
Impressions of grass in changing contexts
I like how grass seems to adapt to the overall atmosphere while adding to the mood at the same time.
Recommended Food For Thought
A book, two magazine specials and some street shots
A break of vacation retrospect with some street photography along with new readings.
Earth And Heaven
Majestic sky and clouds to end a day of greys and calmness
The sky was the main actor at the end of our second day.
Theatre Of Nature
Gentle rain and rays of light on a day of relaxation
Witnessing the beauties of nature on a lazy day.
A Long Days End
Natures theatre gave a show for us on our first day already
The day of our arrival held back some attractions until the very end.
Stormy Arrival
Relief after a long drive
Upon our arrival Hirtshals welcomed us with friendly skies and stormy winds.
Vacation Gleanings
Impressions from a stormy shore
Let me take you to some places we have been. Or not. You choose.
Back! Back?
It seems we are back, physically at least...
Every vacation comes to an end unless - speaking with Aerosmith - you are on a permanent vacation ;-D
